Baldness treatment with PRP injections
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is a medical procedure with a wide range of indications. For example, PRP can be used to stimulate hair regrowth, treat baldness or improve skin quality. PRP treatment is based on the use of the patient's own platelets, which are particularly rich in growth factors. These growth factors stimulate the hair root to enhance the regrowth of thicker hair. They also improve skin quality and hydration. The treatment is performed as follows: A blood sample is taken using an ARTHREXÒ double syringe to ensure optimum sterility. The blood is then centrifuged to separate the platelets from the red blood cells. The red blood cells are set aside, and the liquid containing the platelets is isolated: This liquid is called PRP. This PRP is then placed in syringes for injection into the areas to be treated.
This treatment is not very painful, and presents no particular risk apart from the occasional bruise at the injection site.
You need 3 sessions spaced one month apart at the start of treatment, followed by a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months to achieve visible results.
