Hyaluronic acid injections at the Cannes Mougins aesthetic centre
Treatment of facial wrinkles with hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a filler that occurs naturally in the skin, but its levels decrease over time. This product can be used to treat facial wrinkles and restore volume to certain areas of the face. It is a clear gel with few medical contraindications.
This product helps to “fill in” the main wrinkles on the face, making them imperceptible. It can also be used to correct sagging cheekbones, restore volume to the cheeks, or plump and reshape the lips. There are different types of hyaluronic acids suitable for each area of the face (cheekbones, cheeks, lips). These hyaluronic acids have different consistencies and fluidities. The doctor will adapt the product used to the area being treated and the result desired by the patient.
The injection is performed at the clinic and takes 25 to 60 minutes, depending on the case. A local anaesthetic cream may sometimes be prescribed for very sensitive areas such as the upper lip. As with botulinum toxin, it is best not to take aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs for 5 days prior to the injection.
Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable product that will gradually be eliminated over a period of 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of product used and the area injected.
Post-injection instructions: For 48 hours:
