Dermatological surgery for skin lesions at the Cannes Mougins aesthetic centre

Dermatological surgery treats both benign lesions such as moles, cysts and lipomas, and cancerous lesions such as carcinomas and melanomas.

The removal of benign or malignant skin lesions can sometimes require complex surgery. Once the lesion has been removed, reconstruction using reconstructive surgery techniques may be necessary. These techniques allow skin from the area surrounding the lesion (local flap) or from a distant site (skin graft) to be used to treat the loss of tissue resulting from the removal of the lesion. The aim of these different techniques is to replace the removed skin while minimising the size of the scars.

Various reconstruction techniques are available. During the consultation, the surgeon will explain the surgical procedure to be performed and will advise you if reconstructive surgery is necessary.

Dermatological surgery is most often performed under local anaesthetic with hospitalisation limited to a few hours. In some cases, the removal of small lesions can even be performed at Dr Ihrai’s surgery.
