Mesotherapy at the Cannes Mougins aesthetic centre
Mesotherapy, revitalise the face and fill in wrinkles
Mesotherapy is a medical practice that involves very superficial local injections, either intra-epidermal (into the surface layer of the skin), intradermal (into the deep layer of the skin) or hypodermic (into the deep cellular tissue), of very low doses of medication, targeting the area to be treated. Dr Pistor, who developed the technique, recommended “Injecting little, rarely, in the right place.” It is now commonly used in aesthetic and anti-ageing medicine.
Indications for mesotherapy:
Mesotherapy revitalises the face and fills in wrinkles, reduces scars, treats cellulite on the thighs, arms, buttocks, hips and around the eyes, and treats hair loss.
Injection techniques in the field of aesthetic medicine.
Mesotherapy treatment requires special equipment. The needles have a diameter of 0.4 mm and a length that varies between 4 mm and 13 mm depending on the depth of the planned injection. They are designed to facilitate the penetration of the product. They are also suitable for injections performed with an electronic injector, the mesotherapy gun.
For hygiene reasons, syringes are only used once. The injection can be administered by hand or using a mesotherapy gun.
The number of injections and sessions varies depending on the desired result and the problem to be treated.
After treatment:
After the session, the doctor will advise the patient to avoid massages, saunas, steam rooms and baths in general for 24 hours. The patient should not expose themselves to the sun and should refrain from applying ointment or make-up to the treated area for 48 hours. Contact with dust is strongly discouraged during the recovery period.

Product selection:
Mesotherapy offers a wide range of injectable products depending on the recommended treatment. The injected products are all used in medicine and available in pharmacies in France. These medicines are mixtures of vitamins, trace elements, minerals, etc. In the case of cellulite, for example, collagenase enzymes and caffeine can be injected.
To be used in mesotherapy, injectable products must have the following characteristics: water solubility, ability to mix with other products, neutral pH, non-allergenic excipients, etc.
Side effects:
Like any medical procedure, mesotherapy does not exclude the risk of infection, although this risk is particularly low. Side effects are extremely rare or limited if the injections are performed by a doctor who takes all the necessary antiseptic precautions. Finally, bruising or slight redness may occur near the injection site.
