Thigh lift

Thigh lift at the Cannes Mougins beauty center
As with the arms, significant weight loss or advancing age can cause the skin on the thighs to distend, giving an unsightly appearance that is often a source of complexes. Patients frequently report discomfort when walking, with an unpleasant sensation of rubbing and irritation, and describe a complex that prevents them from wearing short clothes during the summer season. A surgical technique can correct excess skin and fat on the upper and inner thighs. Thigh lift or cruroplasty removes excess skin and tightens the thighs. This procedure is systematically combined with liposuction of the treated area, which facilitates skin mobilization and removes excess fat where present.
The procedure is usually carried out during a short hospital stay. Depending on the extent of the excess skin, the location of the scars will vary. In the case of moderate skin excess, the plastic surgeon may be satisfied with a scar hidden in the inguinal fold. This scar runs from the groin crease to the furrow under the buttock, enabling the entire inner thigh to be reshaped. In the case of a larger excess, the scar, which often remains discreet, is concealed in the groin fold and on the inner thigh. In both cases, liposuction is combined with removal of the excess skin, and a compression panty must be worn for 4 weeks. It is also advisable to avoid all sporting activities for 4 weeks after the operation.
