The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic, and generally lasts from one to two hours, depending on the complexity and technique used in our specialized operating room. Implants are inserted through small incisions, often located under the breast in the mammary fold, around the areola, or in the armpit to conceal scars.

If required, breast prostheses can be combined with a breast lift, also known as mastopexy. Preventive antibiotic treatment is administered during the operation. To limit post-operative pain, an anti-pain drug is injected into the muscle before insertion of the breast prosthesis. Continuous monitoring during and after the procedure is essential to ensure patient safety.
Post-surgical care and recovery
Immediately after surgery, bandages are applied, and sometimes a compression bra is recommended in our clinic. Pain medication is prescribed to manage post-operative pain, which is generally moderate thanks to the injection of an anesthetic into the muscle during the procedure.
Recovery time and follow-up
After the procedure in our aesthetic center, meticulous care is required. Bandages are applied to support the breasts and minimize swelling for the first 2 days. A support bra is put in place after 48 hours, and should be maintained as much as possible over the following 6 weeks. The recovery period varies according to the individual and the type of procedure performed. It is generally recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity for 6 weeks. Pain medication plays a key role in managing post-operative pain.
Immediate and long-term results
Although immediate results may be visible, they are often masked by swelling and bruising. Final results usually stabilize after a few months, once the body has completely healed and the implants have taken their final position.
